  • The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends the N95/KN95/FFP2 for use in high risk situations, especially by medical personnel during pandemics.They are not exactly the same, but they are expected to function very similarly to one another.

Comparison of FFP2, KN95, and N95 and Otherand Other Filtering Facepiece Respirator Classes Definitions Filter performance – the filter is evaluated to measure the reduction in concentrations of specific aerosols in air that passes through the filter. Test agent The aerosol that is generated during the filter performance test. – Total inward leakage (TIL) The amount of a specific aerosol that enters the tested respirator facepiece via both filter penetration and faceseal leakage while a wearer performs a series of exercises in a test chamber. – Inward leakage (IL) – The amount of a specific aerosol that enters the tested respirator facepiece, while a wearer performs a normal breathing for 3 minutes in a test chamber. The test aerosol size (count median diameter) is about 0.5 micro meter. – Pressure drop The resistance air is subjected to as it moves through a medium, such as a respirator filter. IMPORTANT: Always read and follow respirator user instructions.

Equipped with advanced electrostatic microfiber and active carbon filtration technology, the KN95 is designed to protect against the following particles:

  • Air pollutants (including PM10, PM2.5)
    • KN95, similar to the American N95 and European FFP2 certifications. KN95 is an industry-standard and means that the mask provides the intended effectiveness of filtering 95 percent of particles with a mass median diameter of 0.3 micrometers. Therefore, our mask can protect you well from PM10, PM2.5, and even smaller particles.
  • Pollen
    • The KN95 Mask can protect you from pollen. Our filter has an efficiency of above 95% at 0,3 μm particle size, whereas normal pollen particles are about 10 – 1000 μm in size.
  • Bacteria and germs
    • The KN95 Mask can help reduce exposure to biological substances, such as bacteria and germs. Please note however that wearing a mask cannot eliminate the risk of infection as it depends on the proper fit of the wearer. The KN95 Mask is not designed for clinical environments, such as hospitals or dentist offices.
  • Smog
    • The active carbon layer in our filter can help reduce the particles and chemicals in smog.
  • Automobile exhaust and smoke
    • The active carbon layer in our filter deodorizes the air and can help reduce automobile exhaust in your surrounding air.
  • Odor and fragrance
    • The active carbon layer in our filter deodorizes the air and can help reduce odors and fragrances in your surrounding air.
  • Animal Allergens
    • The KN95 Mask can protect you from animal allergens. Our filter has an efficiency of above 95% at 0,3 μm particle size, whereas normal animal allergen particles are about 5 – 10 μm in size.

Please note that the effectiveness depends on a proper fit and how the mask is worn.
